The Genesis Foundation for Resilience and Recovery

The Genesis Foundation Critical Incident Diffusion Unit (the Genesis Foundation) is developing a phased, family-centered recovery and education system serving disabled veterans, first responders and their families, and children and families recovering from severe trauma and exploitation. The model combines a charitable 501(c)(3) organization, an FQHC healthcare partnership, a Christian classical K–12 school, family recovery services, strategically located real estate, and a separate revenue-producing resort/social-enterprise component. Development is intentionally phased so that acquisition, staffing, licensing, clinical capacity and program expansion occur as funding and readiness are achieved.

We see a Lot on a daily basis. Calls involving children are the worst especially if you have children at home. These calls Kick you square in the teeth and make you want to go home and just hold your family.  The Emotion that one feels can not be explained so others understand. Sometimes this can lead to misunderstandings and confusion between the you and the kids, you and the significant other, peers, family members.  The Children Behind the Lines Foundation will provide the catalyst for you to begin the conversation to help you explain your job and all it does to you in a way that people that aren't responders can understand.
