The Children Behind The Lines Foundation mission is to use proven clinical methodologies to reunite First Responders families who have been negatively impacted by traumatic events and return the family unit to a state of mental wellbeing
Our Services
We see a Lot on a daily basis. Calls involving children are the worst especially if you have children at home. These calls Kick you square in the teeth and make you want to go home and just hold your family. The Emotion that one feels can not be explained so others understand. Sometimes this can lead to misunderstandings and confusion between the you and the kids, you and the significant other, peers, family members. The Children Behind the Lines Foundation will provide the catalyst for you to begin the conversation to help you explain your job and all it does to you in a way that people that aren't responders can understand.
Vicarious Trauma
Children hear and sense more than we want to believe. Their ability to manage the changes that come at them are minimal. When they cant it all comes tumbling down. We all know that when a child can not compensate any more, the entire family is in turmoil. This adds to the already volatile situation. The Children Behind the Lines Foundations mission is to reunite the family through proven methodologies that will return them to a tight cohesive family.
